la locanda di anita is situated in the historic centre of the ancient village of cetona below the splendid medieval fortress that dominates the town.
the hotel’s name was given in homage to giuseppe garibaldi’s wife anita née anna maria de jesus ribeiro da silva, who stayed in these walls.
the historical building that hosts la locanda di anita gives a touch of antique fascination. it offers to its guest four double rooms and a suite, each one with different characteristics affording a relaxing ambience, illuminated with warm ochre and ivory light.
all the rooms are equipped with a double bed, air conditioning and heating, minibar, tv, direct telephone line, private bathroom with hydro massage grand-shower, hairdryer, bathrobe, slippers, bath towel and courtesy toilette kit.
breakfast is always included in the price of your stay, you can enjoy it in our cosy and welcoming cafeteria on the ground floor. on a warm and sunny day you may also have your breakfast on the terrace of the caffè dei cavalieri.

at the front of la locanda, its two windows face piazza balestrieri and piazza garibaldi.
its canopy bed gives you a feeling of returning to the past, the room is also equipped with a gracious little table, where you can enjoy a little snack or drink from the minibar.
room 102 : “quiet private paradise”
at the back of la locanda with a big window and access to the small court yard, from above where you can just glimpse the famous belvedere of cetona.
it has a comfortable double bed, with its own bathroom with hydro massage grand-shower and washbasin also a separate toilet and bidet. that gives you extra privacy.
room 201 : spacious with a memorable view
at the front of la locanda with its two glass doors opening onto balconies dominating the piazza balestrieri and viewing to piazza garibaldi.
its big double bed and furnishing reflect the quality and elegance of la locanda di anita. thanks to its space, it is possible to add a third bed.
room 202 : comfort within a smaller space
at the rear of la locanada facing the small court yard. the room is the smallest, but its space has the same comfort as the others.
it is suitable for single clients on their business trips, but it is also comfortable for a couple.
suite 203 : a living room and bedroom with a bohemian atmosphere.
it is a large suite tucked under the ancient roof timbers equipped with a large double bed and in the separate living room there is a spacious sofa/bed, that can host one or two clients.
its windows view both the main square as well as the small court yard. the suite is perfectly equipped for everybodyÂ’s needs: relax with tv or reading a book, work or host family and friends.

the caffé dei cavalieri is a cafeteria and cocktail bar. situated on the ground floor of the locanda, its outside terrace facing the tower of rivellino and piazza garibaldi the main square of the village, offers to its clients a wide selection of aperitifs, cocktails-after dinner, wines and other drinks besides italian crostinis and other delicacies.

the wine cellar : sample fine wines
if you are interested in tasting quality wines you are welcome to discover the wine cellar of the caffé dei cavalieri. walking down into a cave, where the cellar was dug in the sandstone and transformed into a wine cantina, where you can find a wide selection of wines: famous local wines such as nobile di montepulciano or brunello di montalcino as well as other important national wines, prosecchi, spumanti e champagne, aromatic wines, late vintages and muscatels.

the orcia and chiana valleys
cetona is situated half way between florence and rome and only about 45 min. drive from perugia. the best way to reach cetona using the motorway a1 autosole, take the exit chiusi-chianciano. follow the sign in the direction of chiusi, take the first exit to your right to cetona. cetona is about 10 km from the exit of the motorway.
cetona is one of the best locations from which to explore the orcia and chiana valleys:
cetona with its archeological museum and the cave of belvedere, montepulciano with the basilica of san biagio, piccolominipalace of pienza, the thermal pool of bagno vignoni, the fortress of radicofani, chiusi with its national etruscan museum, the lake trasimeno and città della pieve nearby. all these places are a few kilometres from locanda di anita.
